Nov 15th Tutorial

Today in my tutorial with Judith we worked together to create a short and concise overview of what my project actually is. Judith is going to send it to the guys at HP so they know what kind of projects are going to be worked on. I am also going to join the mscaper forums and post it there to see what kind of interest it gets from the target audience – people who actively participate in mediascapes! Here is what we came up with:

1. The Film – This sets up the initial story at film festivals and on TV. Can work as a standalone piece, but can also be progressed by visiting the website advertised at the end.
2. The Website – This bridges the gap between the film and the mediascape. It sets up the user as a character in the narrative, which begins where the film left off.
3. The Mediascape – This actively involves the user in the evolving progressive narrative of the piece, playing with their perceptions and understanding of what they already know from the film and website.

While it doesn’t explain the narrative, it gives a good overall impression of how the whole thing will play out.
